The numbers were just too hard to ignore.  The Packers sacked opposing quarterbacks only 29 times last season and gave up more passing yards (4988) than any team in NFL history.  General Manager Ted Thompson is intent on bolstering a defense that thankfully played with the league's highest scoring offense in a 15-1 campaign.  Thompson signed his third free agent of the off-season Thursday and a second defensive lineman as Seattle Seahawks veteran Anthony Hargrove agreed to terms.   Hargrove has played with four teams in his 7 year career, the last two in Seattle.  His most productive stretch came while with the New Orleans Saints, part of the defensive line that helped New Orleans to the Super Bowl 44 championship.   He's recorded 19 and a half sacks in a career that has had a checkered past.   He was twice suspended for violating the league's substance abuse policy, costing him four games in 2007 and a second offense that left him suspended for the entire 2008 campaign.  Hargrove may still face future discipline from the league over the ongoing "bounty-gate" investigation with the Saints.  Hargrove was flagged for a late hit on Brett Favre in the 2010 NFC Championship game when the Minnesota Vikings first raised the possibility that a bounty was placed on their quarterback.  Hargrove was originally drafted by the St. Louis Rams and also played with the Buffalo Bills. It appears his off-field transgressions are well behind him and if that's the case, Hargrove would be an improvement over the likes of Jarius Wynn and C.J. Wilson on the defensive line. One time Packer Daniel Muir, who spent the past four seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, along with veteran center Jeff Saturday of the Colts, were signed last week by the Pack.  Former 7th round pick Dave Tollefson, a five year defensive end with the New York Giants, spent the past two days visiting the Packers.
