QB espionage

Aaron Rodgers joked with reporters in the locker room this afternoon but wasn't about to go on the record with how he's feeling or if he'll play Sunday night in New England.  The Packers final injury report for the week officially lists him as doubtful, even as the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported he won't play against the Patriots.  Mike McCarthy bluntly refused to confirm that story after practice and said while Rodgers has made progress, the decision will still be made on Saturday.  McCarthy did indicate Rodgers has been fitted for a new helmet that apparently will protect his head better.   Rodgers will fly with the team to Foxboro regardless.  Stay tuned.

The rest of the injury report for the Patriots game has only one player ruled out, Cullen Jenkins with his calf strain.  I saw Cullen velcro fastening his walking boot on his way out of the locker room today.  Frank Zombo with a knee strain is the only other player listed as doubtful.  The Questionable players include Diyrell Briggs, Pat Lee and Anthony Smith.   The probables are Atari Bigby, Desmond Bishop, Chad Clifton, Daryn Colledge, Korey Hall, Clay Matthews, Ryan Pickett, Josh Sitton and Charles Woodson.

Forecasters are calling for a NorEaster on Sunday night.  There's a chance for heavy snowfall across New England Sunday afternoon, through game time and into Monday. The team's charter is scheduled to leave shortly after the game and return to Green Bay about 4:30 AM Monday.  A few of the beat writers are already making plans to ride out the storm in either Providence or at Logan in Boston.  Should make for a very interesting night.
