Do we really need to do the wave at sporting events?  I have been annoyed by this ritual almost from birth.  It's distracting as a fan trying to actually watch what I came and paid for.  Also, the typical person trying to get the wave started in their section is so drunk and annoying that they can single handedly ruin my enjoyment of a game.  However, I do enjoy when the wave starter can't get enough people to join in and his enthusiasm quickly turns to anger and disbelief.  The best is when they realize their effort has failed and they begin to scold the section they are sitting in.  And to my surprise, there are movements underway to get rid of the wave at some sporting events, CLICK HERE TO CHECK IT OUT
