Jud Lounsbury is depicting as "racist and sexist" a joke I told on the air. How is chess like real life: "it's better to be white and there is only one woman in the room so she gets whatever she wants."

First, I did mangle the joke. It should be: "You get to go first just becuase you're white." The joke is, in fact, clearly a jab at white privelege, not a suggestion of white supremacy; in that white gets to go first in chess has long been used as a metaphor of white privelege. But even with my mangled delivery of the joke the meaning should be clear, unless you're a liberal looking for racism  in everything a conservative says. As for the second part of the joke, I don't consider it sexist.

This, of course, is the same Jud Lounsbury who thought Graeme Zielinski was a perfeclty fine spokesperson for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. Nothing wrong with anything Graeme ever said. Jud quoted in the Capitol Times:

But Zielinski certainly had his defenders in the party. Jud Lounsbury, a former state party communications director, says Zielinski’s style is consistent with that of the “bad cop” flack who makes attacks that candidates for office don’t have to make themselves.

“In my opinion, Graeme has his faults, but overall he's been a great communications director for the party,” he says.

Ah, the outrageously selective outrage of the left.
