I never bought the kumbaya stuff that Republicans and Democrats were going to get along this session, but this Democratic in-fighting is interesting, although not all that surprising. Chris Larson was a stunning pick as Democratic Leader. He has little experience and he's from the fringe lunatic left. Conservatives immediately rejoiced at the pick.
There is an "old guard vs. the new kids" feel to this, but I think this runs deeper than that. The line about Jauch not trusting Larson is telling. Given that the Republican majority is "Dale Schultz proof" this time, they should already have an easy time passing most of their agenda. A circular Democratic firing squad can only help.
