"The Character Assassination of Hillary Clinton"

I'm not the world's biggest Kathleen Parker fan, but I agree with this piece. I didn't comment on the report about Secretary Clinton's concussion, but I have to admit the conspiracy theories did flit through my mind. And when it comes to the left my mind is on perpetual "I wouldn't put it past them" mode. But I agree with Parker here; many on the right have embarrassed themselves with this story.

But as for "character assassination," I'm not so sure. Hillary's character already speaks for itself; remember this gem?  If "misspoke" is English for "made the whole thing up," then yes, she misspoke. Mrs. Clinton's history made skepticism in this case reasonable, up to a point. Some conservatives crossed that line.
