Walker Derangement Syndrome

Posted by Jerry Bader on

This piece is entertaining simply in how it flails from one rant to the next A liberal bemoaning the loss, to paraphrase Pierce, of the liberal paradise that Wisconsin was. Just as we conservatives cannot believe President Obama was re-elected, Pierce can't believe Walker was re-elected.

And much has been made of that contradiction in Wisconsin. It re-elected both Walker and Obama. Wisconsin voters gave Obama's failed policies four more years while giving Walker's bold reforms the rest of his first term. The accepted explanation is that voters sense of fairness compelled them to give Walker his full term. Yes, there was some of that. But if a majority of Wisconsin feels the way Pierce does, that the Walker Way is "paradise lost," wouldn't they take any chance to oust him.

Final thought; what can you expect from Wisconsin voters in 2016 if the re-elect Walker in a landslide next year? Answer: who the hell knows?
