"Dorner manhut reveals police contempt for public safety"

I don't agree with the headline on this story, I'm simply sharing it from this piece. That said, the "shoot first, ask questions later" nature of these two shootings is alarming and has received enough scrutiny. Now that Dorner is dead, these police shootings need thorough investigation. If the LAPD was so freaked out that one of there own was on the hunt for them that it led to reckless behavior(I'm not saying it did), then that's a problem.

But there is no possible way to defend these shootings. And they sure look to be the product of panic. I don't believe police have contempt for public safety but something in these two shootings led them to completely ignore it.
