I believe yesterday's decision by the NFL to stand behind the replacement refs led to this movement. As I said on the air, I understand that if the league admitted the TD should have been overturned into a pick they would have been under immense pressure to award the Packers the victory and that could never happen.
You open that door and there is no going back. Instead, the regs get the disaster moment they've been waiting for to get the league to move. Fran Tarkenton wrote in today's Wall Street Journal that it was laughable to suggest the Refs had a gun to the league's head. It sure looks that way now.
