The Right's self-annointed prophet of doom, Bill Kristol, thinks so. The establishment Republican pundisphere is approaching an apocalyptic tone about November. They seem to believe Romney is toast. I don't. They've written of the Senate (Akin didn't help and Tommy Thompson has a real fight on his hands, so yes taking the Senate will be a daunting task, to say the least).
But now, losing the House? I'll admit that the smoke and mirrors liberals and their accomplices in the MSM are using to make the economy look a lot better than it really is right now are having an impact. And Mitt Romney is facing a 2 to 1 fight (Obama and the media) in a way no Republican ever has, and that is saying a lot.
But this much doom and gloom before the presidential debates is nonsense. It almost seems as if Kristol is wishing for the worst, so he can crow about being right when Republicans go up in flames. Nobody in the media has been more honest with conservatives than I have in the last six years when it comes to elections. When I think it's going to be a bad night for Republicans, I say so. I don't...yet. But I concede Republicans need to turn the tide in the next six weeks. I still believe they will.
