Two Interesting Follow-ups to Yesterday's School Lunch Discussion

Posted by Jerry Bader on

First, students in Mukwonago strike against the tiny school lunches they're getting this school year thanks to Mrs. Obama. We took an hours worth of calls yesterday, many from parents in school districts all over the state telling us their kids are going hungry because of this "one size fits all" federal monstrosity. However, we did get one government knows best kool-aid drinker who emailed me:

I am on our schools wellness committee at the Bonduel School District. If the parents spent their time providinging there own kids with  good healthy meals our obiesity rate would not be so high. The schools are trying to educate first the parents, then the students. We have turned to an unhealthy junk food society and we have become lazy at good food preperation. I the parents can't educate their children on what's good and what's bad, at least our schools are trying!!! Today our kids are getting fat and lazy - stop blaming the schools and the government. It is the parents responsibility to make sure their kids eat correctly, it's the parents choice to have their kids eat at school, it's the parents responsibility to teach the children about health and exersicse. Stop blaming the schools - get the parents to be parents and care that their kids are to fat. Boycott Hardies, McDonalds not your schools who are trying to help the kids!!

On your comment about no schools commenting on your program - lets see - who's taking care of educating your kids while your complaining? The schools are!!!!! Have parents be resonsible!!!!!
This is gold, pure gold, and I will address it on today's show.
