The average salary for Chicago teachers is about $71,000 a year. Perhaps arrogance is the winning word. More importantly though, it appears the City Hall and the Chciago School District caved on all the major issues that would lead to meaningful education reform, according to what the union is telling the media a tentative agreement contains.
