This is hysterical, and classic liberalism. Awhile back a lib got me on the mailing list for "Reader Supported News"(RSN) a liberal commentary outfit. The problem is, readers aren't providing much support. As a result they've been begging for month for sometime. The begging is now moving toward bullying.
"What does it take to stimulate a bit of support?" Well, it's classic liberalism by both the producer and consumer. The liberal producer isn't interested in whether the consumer is seeing value in the product. As enlightened liberals the producers see the value of their product and therefor the consumer should. They are also showing the frustration of libs who can't just take through taxes money for their "noble cause." They actually have to convince people the cause is noble to get them to give voluntarily. Libs aren't doing that so they're starting to get nasty.
As for the liberal consumer; of course they're not going to pay for what they're getting for free.

We now must focus all of our efforts bringing in - a few donations. It's sad. What does it take to stimulate a bit of support? Try to see the future folks.
In earnest,
