As I said previously, it would be a mistake to applaud Fact Check on the few times they actually call out a liberal, so I won't do that here. To tell the truth, pointing out Clinton lied in the past, which he clearly did, isn't "fact checking" his speech last night. But I find the liberal gasket blowing over this hysterical because this is similar to the technique these Fact Check sites use on conservatives.
In the case of Paul Ryan it wasn't pointing to an earlier lie, but to an irrelevant point. He said the stimulus didn't work but asked for stimulus money. So what? That doesn't mean the stimulus didn't work and doesn't mean what Ryan said at the Republican National Convention was a lie. What the Clinton fact checking does show is what a ruse this little cottage industry is. Newspaper fact checkers use to strictly, and behind the scenes, verify verifiable facts. These high profile fact checkers "facts" aren't really facts at all, even when their target is a liberal. It is entertaining to see libs get a taste of this crap.
