CBS Instant Poll of Undecided Gives Debate Win to Obama

Decisively. I find it interesting that the more aggressive debate style seems to have swayed undecideds in all three debates according to this poll. Clearly Romney's strategy was to be more presidential. We'll see how it plays in the polls in the days to come.

 

 

 

CBS NEWS POLL: By Two to One, Uncommitted voters say the President Won Tonight's Debate.

 

 

 

--In a poll of uncommitted voters conducted immediately after the final presidential debate, 53% of these voters say President Obama was the debate winner, 23% think Romney won, another 24% feel the debate was a tie.

 

 

 

--Uncommitted voters in similar polls gave the first debate to Romney by a large margin, but gave the victory to Mr. Obama after the second debate

 

 

 

--Uncommitted voters - voters who are either undecided about who to vote for or who say they could still change their minds - said President Obama would do a better job than Romney on terrorism and national security by 64%-36%.

 

 

 

--71% also think Obama is trusted to handle an international crisis; 49% say that about Romney.

 

 

 

--But the two are even on who would do a better job on U.S. policy toward China: 50% pick Romney, while 50% choose the President.
