I'll be blunt. Tommy Thompson destroyed Tammy Baldwin in Friday's debate. I didn't get to watch it until today. Thompson is not only smooth in delivery but strong in substance. Baldwin is in deer in the headlight mode in almost every answer. Perhaps the worst is her first answer about what is the biggest lie told about her in the campaign. Every Baldwin answer is a rambling run-on sentence. She borders at time on the incoherent; check her answers on Iran and Afghanistan. I know I'm a partisan, but if anything, I'm usually overly tough on my side. Baldwin sounded like a liberal talking point pull toy: "sweetheart deal," "safe, rare and legal." Tommy had a lot of highlights; calling her on voting against sanctions on Iran until she was a Senate candidate and how she blames Republicans for everything. This was a knockout in my opinion, but you can judge for yourself:
