The President is now taking himself to the woodshed for his comments today that "the private sector is doing fine." Can you imagine if a Republican presidential candidate had this kind of run? Two surrogates go off script and are slapped down, and then the President himself "clarifies" his way into saying he was full of crap earlier in the day.

I wonder if he'll ban himself from future news conferences because of this debacle. And I love the condescending tone. Of course he knows the economy isn't doing fine. Never mind what that guy who looks just like me said this morning.
