Portman, Pawlenty, Ryan and Jindal.   I find this short list highly believable. I've been convinced for some time that Florida Senator Marco Rubio has made it clear to Mitt Romney that he would decline the pick. Portman and Pawlenty represent "safe picks." Solid conservatives but certainly not bold. I sincerely believe that he MUST go bold on the pick and that would mean Ryan or Jindal.

So far Romney has ignored completely Scott Walker's advice to go big and go bold. Everything about this campaign has been annoyingly safe, especially its response to the Obamacare ruling. A safe pick for veep would be deeply disappointing.
