Evers is going to be a formidable incumbent as State Superintendent of Public Instruction. And while none of this is "news," Media Trackers is right in reminding us of Evers' behavior toward Act 10 . Note the sarcastic sign that Evers is holding in the photo, "I'm married to a union thug." Clearly the message is his wife isn't a union thug.
But what about the long list of thuggish behavior that Act 10 opponents did take part in through much of 2011? Let's recap:
Disrupting State of the State
Disrupting MLK Jr Ceremonies
Disrupting State Fair Opening Ceremonies
Disrupting Ceremonies honoring Special Olympians
Dogging Governor Scott Walker and Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch everywhere they went
Shouting F-Bombs at a 14 year old girl exercising her free speech rights in Madison
Booing the national anthem in Madison
Pouring beer on a lawmaker's head
Mocking the death of a Madison journalism icon in the State Capitol building, IN FRONT of the man's daughter, in the Capitol press roomnamed after him.
This list is hardly exhaustive, but you get the idea. Will anybody ask Evers if he considers any of this thuggish behavior? Will anyone ask him whether he repudiates any or all of this behavior? Anybody?
