The broad and immediate nature of this attack sure makes it feel coordinated. Or at least well-prepared. Democrats weren't prepared for Paul Ryan. In fact they thought they wanted him on the ticket. They considered him easy pickings. They were on their heels before this speech and they are reeling now.
Part of what caught them flatfooted, and I'm the only one saying this, is the electronic media didn't do their bidding the way they did with Sarah Palin in '08. The beltway talking heads didn't know her. Ripping a stranger is way easier than ripping someone you know, and someone you like. And I think the beltway MSM (excluding MSNBC, of course) like Paul Ryan. That doesn't mean they support him or would vote for him, but they weren't prepared to Palinize him.
And the effort against Palin came quickly. Libs realize that "instant taint" moment has already passed with Ryan. Rest assured they will get deseperate and as a result get vicious. You're seeing the start of that here.
