I Wondered When This Piece Would Come...

When I started reading Campbell Brown sharing some right of center opinions, I figured the left was going ballistic over a longtime TV journalist speaking from the wrong side of the line. She's writing opinion, not news, is her husband's job or ideology relevant to her opinion? I don't Campbell Brown's political beliefs beyond what I've read from her, and I read all the pieces referred to here. If major pubilications such as the New York Times and Wall Street Journal feel her opinions are worthy of publication, why should she be required to disclose who her spouse is.

If my wife writes a letter to the editor from a conservative perspective does she have a responsibility to reveal she's married to me? Given we share a last name where Brown and her husband don't, it might be a good idea as many people would likely be wondering. But would she have a responsibility to?
