Maybe it was Romney's flub that threw him off a tad at first, but I agree that Ryan eventually made the most of this moment. The enthusiasm of the crowd spoke volumes. Yes, this pick will give Democrats a target, but the base is excited because the entitlement debate is the one they want to have, even more than the dems think they do.

I believe Ryan on the ticket sets up a clear choice, much like what we saw in Wisconsin during the recall. And you know how the conservative base reacted to that.
