I've vacationed in Door County twice and it never really occurred to me that they didn't have fast food places, other than I remember it wasn't all that convenient to find a place to feed the girls when they were very young. My belief is government shouldn't decide what type of restaurant

I understand that local officials are trying to preserve a certain atmosphere in Northern Door County, but at the end of the day what they're concerned about is that these businesses will succeed, and I can't defend government impeding that to the benefit of the existing shops.
