This is truly remarkable. Johnson has been in this race for 10 days and has prompted two candidates to drop out. Clearly it's his pledge to spend vast amounts of his own personal fortune that is the intimidating factor, but that a candidate can swoop in and push two other canddidates out in this fashion is virtually unprecedented. With all due apologies to David Westlake, Johnson is now the Republican nominee. And what's critical here is he keep now keep most of that powder dry for the general election against Feingold. A simply stunning development.
