Okay, so before stunning the state GOP Convention by announcing he was pulling out of the U.S. Senate race, Dick Leinenkugel tells the Journal Sentinel that in his very brief time as a candidate he was unfairly cast as a RINO. He then goes onto blame conservative talk radio in the state for ridiculing his candidacy, saying it is "hatred, not anger."
He then goes on to spout the standard liberal line about the Republican Party needing a bigger tent. So he takes the two classic talking points of RINOS: disdain for conservative talk radio and the "big tent theory" and tries to use them to explain why he was unfairly cast as a RINO.
