Kagan Gets Tripped Up by Question of Whether Congress Can Tell Us What To Eat

Yeah, this video is all over the place on the web, but I share it with you because her inability to articulate a coherent answer here is one of the most telling moments ever in the SCOTUS confirmation process. Kagan thinks it would be dumb for Congress to tell Americans they have to eat three veggies a day. But she won't deny Congress' authority to do it. What messes liberals up most often is when they know their heartfelt answer can't be said aloud. She KNOWS what she believes; yes Congress CAN make Americans eat 3 veggies a day, and make them wear funny hats on Mondays and wake up and yell Sneeblefritz on Tuesdays.

That's what she belives. There is no constiutional grounds for this, so she knows she can't come right out and say it, but can't bring herself to flatly reject what she believes. And consider:

"Courts would be wrong to strike down laws that they think are senseless, just because they are senseless."  What???????
