This could be the most non-shocking headline you'll ever see. Well, it may be shocking that McGwire has finally come clean, but it's not shocking that he was a user. Some things are tough to hide. I'm among those critical of MLB on this issue. They knew what was going on, but were willing to turn the other way. Now they make users like McGwire the bad guys, keeping them out of the Hall of Fame. I'm not defending players like McGwire and Barry Bonds, but MLB is trying to have it both ways here; make hay on these guys when they were bulked up and then pretend to be shocked that they're cheaters and shun them.
