Assembly Passes Bill to Crack Down on Payday Lenders

All along this bill has reminded me of the federal health care reform effort. In both cases democrats operated from the assumption that the issue at hand was one the public was clamoring for change on. It's highly questionable as to whether that was true of HCR. I think it's clearly false where payday lenders in Wisconsin are concerned.

The only people clamoring for this are those who feel they were exploited by the industry and libs in Madison who want to protect people from themselves. And once again, libs will hurt the very people they are trying to help, if this forces payday lenders out of business and leaves those who would use this service without a credit option.
