It's a given that most people don't trust government to do things right. And I'm not going to agree with Mayor Tom Barrett often as he pursue's the governor's office, but he's right on this story. It took a lot of nerve for the Doyle administration to claim the prisoners to be released under this "cost saving" program didn't pose a danger to society. That's a heckuva guarantee to make.
But Barrett and other critics are right:An unquestionably dangerous inmate just walked out of Stanley with fake papers, and we're supposed to trust that the state will excute a mass exodous without similar issues. And why isn't more of the MSM in Wisconsin criticizing the secrecy the state has attempted to shroud this debacle in????
