SUN PRAIRIE, Wis (WSAU-Wheeler News) The state’s largest annual farm show begins today near Sun Prairie. Wisconsin Farm Technology Days are being held through Thursday at the Stats Brothers’ farm.
The show features numerous demonstrations which involve the latest in rural technology and more. A tent city includes more than 600 commercial and educational exhibitors. The show is held in a different county each year, with a different farm emphasis. Dairy farming is this year’s highlight, at a place where three family generations milk 3,000 cows on 6,300-acres. Total attendance has ranged from 40,000 to 70,000 people in recent years.
Dry weather is in the forecast for the entire Farm Technology Days, with highs in the 70s. That should help boost the attendance, as well as the show’s proximity to Madison.
