Wisconsin FFA Organization Looks for Big Week in Louisville

Starting tomorrow you can expect parts of Louisville Kentucky to turn into a sea of Blue and Gold as some 55,000 members of the FFA will converge on the city for their 86th. annual convention. Once again the event promises to be a big one for the Wisconsin FFA organization as both individuals and chapters will compete and will be honored for their achievement in the organization

Among those in the spotlight is Aaron Zimmerman, the former State FFA Officer who is a candidate for National Office and is also a finalist for the American Star in Agribusiness Award. Two other Wisconsin members who are up for top honors include Emilie Cerny, a finalist for the American Star in Agriscience Award and Trenton Bemis who is a finalist for the American Star in Agricultural Placement Award.  18 other members of the Wisconsin delegation are finalists for national proficiency award, while 116 students will hit the main stage to be honored for receiving their American FFA Degree. . Also 5 supporters of FFA from the state will be recipients of the Honorary American FFA Degree, among them is State Representative Al Ott And Freedom FFA Advisor Kevin Champeau  

Several local Wisconsin Chapters also will be recognized with Waupaca FFA up for the prestigious National Model of Excellence Award. Its should be a great convention and we'll report back on just how well the delegation from Wisconsin does.
